I’m now making the disk cover to make sure I haven’t left out any detail. I decided to use the pinky/purpley colour from the girl’s swimming costume as my inspiration as I thought there was quite a lot of pale green in the designs and hardly any other colour. It will make a lovely contrast to the EP case.
These are the 2 finalists!
Some more designs following the same colour scheme, using the bands logo
I decided to edit my favourite of the three in lots of different ways, keeping to the colour scheme and theme of my chosen EP cover.
T-shirt time!
I’ve been whackingout a load of t-shirt and bag designs that could possibly be used. Yet another impromptu few hours of sitting and staring at them deciding which to use… Gah. I am having a crit this afternoon with Laura and hopefully she’ll be able to tell me which ones work with the look of the EP design.
Today I’ve been designing what to go on the inside sleeve, and have laid it out on Indesign to see what it would look like nce it had been printed but not cut!
Today I have been focussing on designing the reverse of the EP cover. It was quite difficult creating a new image that matched the existing front cover perfectly, because it quite hard to get the colour scheme right.
Here are a few examples and ‘play-arounds’ if you like. I have since decided I’m probably going to use the other one of the girl diving off the diving board for my final piece.
finally got round to posting the song my whole project revolves around…
